No need to fear the blank page!!! Come and explore conceptual songwriting through observation, inspiration and creative lyric writing.

Fletcher Babb, aka Cold Ghost, offers a bespoke songwriting workshop that uses the environment and surrounding spaces to guide and inspire the songwriting process.

Students will develop their confidence to be thoughtful, creative, innovative, skilful, and informed musicians. The workshop challenges them to create with intent and purpose, offering them a useful artistic framework that they can continue to harness as they become independent music creators.

Workshop schedule:

  • 30 minutes – walk around as a group, observing, sharing thoughts and taking notes
  • 15 minutes – commune together, explain process and write down ideas and observation.
  • 30 minutes – refine ideas and start writing songs based around observations and notes
  • 15 – 45 minutes – share song ideas as a group 

Total time 1:30 – 2 hours  – This adaptable workshop can be extended to cater for students who wish to further hone their songwriting ideas.
